Within the framework of the Tianguis Turístico México 2025, which takes place in Tijuana, Baja California, the coordinator of Romance Tourism of the Ministry of Tourism of Querétaro (SECTUR), Andrea Herrera Lambarri, announced that the state will host the Congress of Sustainable Weddings and Events LAT 2025, which will take place from September 22 to 25 with the presence of more than 700 participants and entrepreneurs specialized in this segment.

Accompanied by the director of the International Association of Destination Wedding Planners (IADWP), and organizer of the event, Suri Mendicuti, the state official explained that romance tourism continues to be one of the strongest and fastest growing pillars in the state.

This forum will bring together representatives from Mexico and Latin America, and will be a platform to share successful experiences and strengthen commercial ties, which ratifies romance tourism as a strategic activity by leaving in Querétaro an annual economic spill of more than three billion pesos.

Querétaro has more than 80 locations for social events, among which are: colonial haciendas, mansions, vineyards, boutique hotels and gardens, as well as more than 400 suppliers and more than 70 certified wedding planners.

More than 1,200 social events are held annually in the state (an average of 100 each month), mainly weddings in which 80 percent of the guests are foreign visitors, which generates an average income of more than 3,800 pesos per person during their stay in the state.

The state of Querétaro is consolidated as the best destination for romance tourism and social events, due to its cultural heritage, its colonial architecture and its great winemaking tradition, represented in the Route of the Arch, Cheese and Wine, which annually receives more than 1.5 million visitors and generates an income of more than four billion pesos.

Also present at this announcement were the director of Tourism Promotion of the state, Rodrigo Ibarra Lozano; the director of the Querétaro Congress Center, Alfredo Espinosa Leal; and the Wedding Planner of Querétaro, Lucero Álvarez.
