The Ministry of Tourism of the state of Querétaro through the Center for Attention and Protection of Tourists (CAPTA) will make available to visitors and tourists the temporary loan of parking cards for people with disabilities, which will be valid throughout the state during their stay; this was announced by Juliette Rojo Hernández, coordinator of this organization.
It should be noted that the objective of this measure, Rojo Hernández reported, is to facilitate the mobility of people with disabilities who visit the entity, offering a tool that allows the proper use of reserved parking spaces, in accordance with current regulations.
"This new mechanism for the temporary loan of cards for people with disabilities represents an important advance in the construction of accessible tourism for all. We thank the institutions that made this coordinated effort possible, which allows us to offer a more functional and safe stay to those who visit Querétaro," he said.
He added that this action is the result of joint work with the Municipal Institute of Human Rights and Social Inclusion and the Secretariat of Tourism of the Municipality of Querétaro, who coordinated efforts to establish guidelines, control and validation mechanisms, as well as the processes of loan and recovery of temporary cards.
The process to obtain the loan of these cards is as follows: Go to the CAPTA (located at Luis Pasteur Street, No. 4 North, Centro, Querétaro), fill out the responsive letter, and present valid official identification.
This initiative is in addition to the strategies promoted by the state to strengthen accessible tourism, promoting that visitors and tourists have conditions that facilitate their experience and mobility during their stay; and consolidating Querétaro as the first tourist destination to offer this type of service.
