The head of the Secretariat of Tourism of the State of Querétaro (SECTUR), Adriana Vega Vázquez Mellado, together with the general director of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Querétaro campus, Pascual Alcocer, led the signing ceremony of the collaboration agreement between both institutions, with the aim of carrying out joint work in the field of social service, professional internships and student and institutional projects.
Adriana Vega, stressed during her participation in this signing, that, for the tourism sector of the entity, it is essential to generate strategic alliances that allow to achieve competitive, innovative and sustainable tourism services; so this agreement with the Tecnológico de Monterrey will result in the advancement of the exposure of Querétaro as a tourist destination of excellence at a national and international level.
"With this agreement we open the door to joint work in terms of social service, professional practices and student and institutional projects, which will not only enrich the academic training of young people, but will also contribute to strengthening the tourism sector of our state," he said.
The state official reported that this agreement reaffirms the vision of the Ministry of Tourism to work hand in hand with educational institutions and service providers, under the conviction that academic and professional linkage for the training of service providers, entrepreneurs and tourism researchers, with high quality standards.
In his turn, the general director of the Tecnológico de Monterrey Querétaro campus, Pascual Alcocer, reiterated the commitment to the training of professionals for the tourism sector; that contribute to the social, economic and business development of the entity; always seeking to improve the quality of life of those who live here.
"Today, with this agreement that we signed with SECTUR, we endorse this commitment and take another step towards strengthening the tourism ecosystem of Querétaro, while providing students with real opportunities for learning and development," he said.
With this signing, both institutions are committed to generating projects with a positive impact on communities and to continue positioning Querétaro as a national and international tourism benchmark.
