In a ceremony led by the Director of Tourism Promotion of the Ministry of Tourism of the State of Querétaro (SECTUR), Rodrigo Ibarra Lozano, Sala Vivé by Freixenet Mexico obtained the ISO 14001 Sustainability Certification, granted by TÜV Austria, a certifying body of international prestige and which endorses the implementation of an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). which improves environmental performance, optimizes the use of resources and reduces ecological impact.
During his speech, Rodrigo Ibarra highlighted the importance of this achievement not only for Sala Vivé, but for the entire Querétaro wine region.
"This type of certification reaffirms that in Querétaro we not only make good wine, we also do it responsibly. The wine region is a pride for our state and generates unique tourist experiences," he said.
In addition, he invited citizens and visitors to tour the Art, Cheese and Wine Route, one of the main tourist attractions in the region, which every year receives more than a million people interested in learning about the cultural and gastronomic richness of the state.
On his occasion, the director of Sala Vivé, Lluis Raventós Llopart, emphasized that this recognition reflects the constant work and firm commitment to continue leading the sector.
"At Sala Vivé we understand that caring for the environment is not an option, but an urgent responsibility. For this reason, we implement concrete actions such as saving and recycling water in our processes, as well as the responsible management of our vineyards. These practices not only guarantee the quality of our wines, but also protect the natural environment that gives us life.
