In a special ceremony, the Association of Mexican Sommeliers (ASM), presented the "Winery of the Year 2025" award to the Puerta del Lobo vineyard in Querétaro (municipality of El Marqués), in recognition of oenological excellence, wine tourism innovation, and the promotion of Mexican wine nationally and internationally.
The ASM is made up of wine professionals from all over the country, who every year, hold an internal vote to distinguish the most relevant actors in the sector. In this edition, the evaluation criteria included the trajectory, quality and consistency of the wines, innovation in production processes, commitment to sustainability and contribution to Mexican wine culture.
Upon receiving the distinction, the founder and CEO of the Puerta del Lobo vineyard, Eusebio Goyeneche, highlighted the state of Querétaro as a wine region with a high potential for wine production and wine tourism.
"It is an honor to receive this recognition from those who live wine with technique, sensitivity and passion. It motivates us to continue growing and positioning Querétaro wine among the best in the world," he stressed.
Puerta del Lobo is a wine project located in the municipality of El Marqués, which has established itself as a benchmark for wine tourism in the state, integrating wine production with unique experiences for the visitor, through gastronomy and culture.
In 2025, this Querétaro vineyard celebrates its tenth anniversary with a historic harvest, special events and the obtaining of medals in international competitions for its wines; in addition to becoming the setting for various audiovisual productions.
