The Secretary of Tourism, Mariela Morán Ocampo, assured that through Golf it is possible to promote the tourist attractions of Querétaro, such as gastronomy, wine tourism and the Magical Towns, during the presentation of the First Business and Golf Tournament, organized by the company Glamotion, the municipality of Tequisquiapan and the National Chamber of the Restaurant Industry and Seasoned Foods (CANIRAC) Querétaro.
"This event is a clear example of what we can achieve when we work together. It is one of the successful models of Querétaro, that union between private initiative and government. We have more than fifteen hundred companies with foreign capital, and of these communities, one of their great passions is precisely golf, gastronomy and wines and wine tourism in our Wine Region, which today is one of the most important in the country," he said.
In his speech, the president of the Tequisquiapan Golf Club, Jorge Kahwagi Gastine, highlighted hospitality and warmth as great characteristics of the people who live in Tequisquiapan, which makes them a destination where visitors can enjoy their stay to the fullest.
The Commercial Director of the company Glamotion, Halina Gama Arriaga, reported that this tournament has as its main objective to generate networking between the players and the tourism, gastronomic and wine companies that participate, since there will be the cooperation of restaurants affiliated with CANIRAC Querétaro, which will offer tastings together with Querétaro vineyards, within the playing field.
The tournament, to be held on May 14 at the Tequisquiapan Golf Club, will have a "A go go, foursome" modality, and the participation of 36 teams is expected, with a total of 144 players.
