The Ministry of Tourism of the state of Querétaro (SECTUR), through the director of Tourism Promotion, Rodrigo Ibarra Lozano, and authorities of the municipality of Tequisquiapan, announced the new International Festival of Art, Cheese and Wine 2025, which will be held between May 22 and June 8 in the Magical Town. The event will leave a spill of more than 180 million pesos, with the presence of more than 60 thousand visitors.
"The Magical Town of Tequisquiapan is consolidated as a destination of excellence for cultural, wine and gastronomic tourism, since it offers a wide range of tourist offers and experiences for visitors, as well as a hotel infrastructure of more than 1,200 rooms," said Rodrigo Ibarra.
When taking the floor, the municipal president, Héctor Iván Magaña Rentería, reported that the festival will have the participation of 20 national wineries, 10 cheese factories, as well as local producers and restaurants from Tequisquiapan. There will be guided tastings, themed events, gastronomic experiences, interactive activities and specialized workshops.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of Tourism of Tequisquiapan, Iván Reséndiz Guerrero, said that the event will have a Spanish Pavilion, in which Iberian wineries such as Virtus, Bornos and Freixenet will be exhibited, which will strengthen wine and cultural ties between the two countries.
In addition, visitors will be offered a cultural program with the presence of artists of international stature, concerts and shows. This year, attendees will be able to enjoy the presentations of the Folkloric Ballet of Amalia Hernández, as well as the concerts of Motel, Kinky, Fernando Delgadillo, Grupo Primavera and Cuisillos, among others. Additionally, the tradition of the waiters' race and the night c h a r r e d will be resumed.
The festival returns to the streets of the Magical Town of Tequisquiapan, as it will have as stages the Parque de la Pila, the Plaza Miguel Hidalgo and the Garden of Art, where national and foreign visitors will be able to enjoy the art, culture, traditions, gastronomy and winemaking offered by the destination.
