The director of Tourism Promotion of the Ministry of Tourism of the state of Querétaro (SECTUR), Rodrigo Ibarra Lozano, together with municipal authorities and organizers, announced that Ezequiel Montes will host the eleventh edition of the "Xtrail Bernal Viñedos" race, a tourist-sports event of international stature that expects to bring together between two thousand and two thousand 500 competitors. in addition to their companions, this coming June 21.
Rodrigo Ibarra Lozano stressed that this event, more than a race, is an invitation to experience Querétaro through sports, nature and wine culture.
"This event means a lot because it not only attracts tourism so that they know all these experiences in Querétaro, but it also speaks of the fact that we are growing, we are evolving in a diversification of products and with which we can offer much more to our visitors," he stressed.
Jorge Duck Morales, director of Xtrail Mexico, when announcing the details of this 2025 edition, stressed that the participation of about two thousand 500 runners is expected in all categories; and assured that this race presents a unique format in the country, which allows you to visit tourist attractions such as the Peña de Bernal and the most recognized vineyards of Querétaro.
"The race will have distances of 5, 10, 15 and 21 kilometers in trail running mode, traveling through some of the most spectacular landscapes of the state of Querétaro, such as the Sala Vivé wine houses, Azteca Vineyards and Bodegas De Cote," he reported.
Events such as the Xtrail Bernal Viñedos race reaffirm Querétaro's commitment to sports tourism as an engine of regional development, promoting and benefiting the tourism, gastronomic and artisanal sectors of the region.
