The municipality of Pinal de Amoles is decked out with the XXXI edition of the National Huapango Dance Contest, a great event that brings together the huapanguera family from the different states of the Mexican Republic, the second most important festival of this genre after the renowned National Huasteco Huapango Dance Contest of San Joaquín, with more than half a century of bringing together the best exponents in the field.
Continuing with the tradition, for this edition of the National Huapango Dance Contest of Pinal de Amoles, and in accordance with the call for entries, it will be held in the following categories: huapanguerito, children's, youth and adult in the Querétaro, Veracruz, Hidalgo, Puebla, Tamaulipas and Potosí styles.
Huapango in Pinal de Amoles goes beyond a contest; it is a collection of feelings where couples come together, cry, dance and compete for a dream: to be the absolute champion.
This year, the participation of 500 couples is expected, who will make the stage sound to the tune of different huapangos performed by the trios Los Hidalguenses, Trío Juglar, Cantar Huasteco and Trío los Cantores del Son.
