Harvests 2022
With the arrival of the rains and the special date of the Day of San Juan, the vineyards of Querétaro know that the harvest season has begun.
It is an ancient celebration, a festival that takes place in the various wine regions of the entire world, for this reason Querétaro is no exception.
The San Juanito Vineyard, located between the municipalities of Tequisquiapan and Ezequiel Montes, was in charge of receiving tourists to start this event of gratitude to nature.
Wine celebration
From the early hours of the day, the Treviño family, responsible for this famous vineyard, prepared a celebration at the height of their harvests. With the arrival of the first tourists, the blessing was given to the vines that already carry large bunches of purple grapes, which will be harvested and processed.
Among the activities that were carried out to commemorate the Fiesta de San Juan and the beginning of the 2022 Grape Harvest season, there were different shows, such as the equestrian show presented by the rejoneador Miguel Urquiza and the dancer Daniela Ponce.
The little ones were able to carry out the traditional grape stomping, as well as enjoy the play area specially designed for them.
Tasting and gastronomy
The attendees also enjoyed the stars of the San Juanito house, its sublime and award-winning wines. The success recently obtained in Belgium by the wines Abolengo de Don Juan Syrah and Reserva Malbec was proudly shared.
Wood-fired pizzas were one of the main dishes with which local authorities, attendees, tourists, and all those present enjoyed pairing the house wines.
Music accompanied the celebration at all times, as did art, since the painter from Querétaro Miguel Resendiz made a painting of a still life live during the event.
Traditions that endure
The Bernal Valley experienced a day of tradition, celebration and art. Viñedos San Juanito was decked out, as usual, and offered its green fields so that families could live a day according to the wine region.
