The Historic Center of Querétaro experienced the second edition of the Querétaro Wine Festival, an event that seeks to spread the wine culture in the city, as well as to be a meeting point for all those who live this knowledge.
Querétaro is a land of wines, to pronounce these words is to enter a cultural environment that grows day by day in the state. As an example, last summer there were very special harvests in the various Querétaro wine fields in which thousands of people enjoyed environments as diverse and rich as they are novel, now the opportunity has arrived at the Historic Center of Querétaro.
The Querétaro Center for the Arts, located on Arteaga Street, received local producers, wine lovers, artists and enthusiasts of this drink and its context.
The Querétaro Wine Cluster organized this event with the intention of bringing the people of Querétaro closer to the world of wine. Bring the Art, Cheese and Wine Route to the most emblematic streets of the state. Its authorities let those present know the reason why wine tourism is the second most important tourist activity in the state.
The event served as a framework for different wine projects to present new labels, offer some of their most popular products, give tastings and simply share with those present. The third edition of Vino Q was also presented, an effort of local producers in coordination with the Querétaro Wine Cluster.
The Querétaro Wine Festival was also an impulse for the cheese and gastronomic producers of the region to bring their items to the tables of those present. The tastings were accompanied by dishes with Querétaro foods, as well as the wines of the region, experts said.
The president of the Querétaro Wine Cluster, Eusebio Goyeneche, led the wine authorities of the region, the Festival also served to approach Querétaro projects, in addition to informing about alizanas and links with different institutions in Querétaro, such is the case of Banco Afirme or the University of Arkansas in Querétaro.
Those present, in addition to enjoying the 180 Querétaro labels, also experienced moments of musical and artistic ensembles and the presence of a DJ to liven up the afternoon.
The team of chefs and winemakers of the Querétaro Wine Cluster presented the tasting of the third edition of Vino Q for the various groups of attendees during the weekend.
This label, which represents the best of local wine, is made with Syrah, Malbec and Merlot, it is a red wine, aged in barrel, with notes of citrus and nuts. This wine was paired with chocolates made in Querétaro, some with xoconostle, an endemic fruit of Querétaro.
This festival fulfilled the objective of highlighting the presence of the State in the Mexican wine scene, as pointed out by the authorities of the Querétaro Wine Cluster, the state has seven producing municipalities, more than 40 projects, and is placed as the second wine producer in Mexico, which makes it a paradise for Mexican wine.
