Those who know say that 'Hercules exists because he resists', a phrase that is usually associated with other iconic neighborhoods in Mexico, but that in Querétaro finds a place and resonance in one of the oldest neighborhoods of the city.
The neighborhood of Hércules 'endures', its factory is a silent witness to the passage of decades, in what was an old place of Querétaro life. The textile workers who yesterday boosted the economy of the neighborhood and the city today remember those years with beer in hand: the factory changed its business, but it never ceased to be a local bastion.
Brewery and Brewery
The Hercules Brewing Company began producing beer in the neighborhood in 2012. The thickest production, for distribution and sale, dates back to 2013. By trial and error, this space opened its doors to generate a different experience for beer consumers in Mexico.
Hércules was formed little by little, different people have been involved from the first day, experiences, knowledge and a lot of passion for the beer culture have been added.
Different styles
In a year Hercules can reach the production of up to 100 different types of beer. The brewmasters who are part of the team are given the task of experimenting and making culture around beer.
One of the objectives of Cervecería Hércules is to offer the public a variety of products that is uncommon in the beer market. Its philosophy is based on enjoying the product, not storing it, drinking it and sharing it with friends, family, and of course with typical foods from the beer gardens of the world.
Hércules has a garden to enjoy the afternoon in the 'Biergarten' style, outdoor tables and food fresh from the kitchen, as well as the traditional beer bar.
The old factory gives an industrial touch that ends up rounding off the style and giving identity to the place. The high hills of La Cañada surround the garden creating a typical Querétaro scene.
Thus, the tables are filled with German sausages, pizzas, pretzels and some Mexican dishes that have the particular touch of the place.
They say in Hercules that their beer is alive, the brewing process avoids pasteurization, it is part of their identity seal, so the product ages naturally. A drink to drink and enjoy at the moment. The Hercules live, just as the neighborhood resists.
