The anecdote was heard in the streets of the Historic Center of Querétaro, 96 years have passed since the traditional Christmas Parade began, and even today there are those who remember it with nostalgia. Some remember when a car passed by and threw candy, others of the group of singing children, others remember a Querétaro dressed in lights to give way to Christmas Eve.
The first square of the city, the perfect setting for the Christmas staging, was decorated with a new edition of the Christmas Parade. There have been four generations of Querétaro residents and tourists who have enjoyed this event, which began in 1926.
From the moment the sun began to set in the wintry afternoon, the passers-by began to take their place on the sidewalks of the first square of the city. Children and adults formed a human wall to witness the typical Christmas parade on December 23.
The typical cars that were part of the Christmas Parade offered all those present a characteristic face of Querétaro, dressed in the Magical Towns and most emblematic of the state began a tour that at all times generated smiles and joy in those present.
Claudia I, queen of the Festivities of the Patronato de Querétaro of Christmas 2022, presided over the parade. At the event, sweets and other prizes were given to those present to enjoy the evening.
A classic of the streets of the Historic Center, the Rondalla of the Autonomous University of Querétaro, put music to a very Querétaro and Christmas afternoon. As the contingent of harlequins, fairies, musicians, elves and other Christmas figures advanced, more people joined the festivity.
