The first edition of The Night of the Dragon was lived among fairies, elves, knights, princesses and dragons and made the attendees feel the mysticism of those medieval times with the best setting: the Medieval Hostel and the Peña de Bernal on the horizon.
On October 28 and 29, the Hostal Medieval dressed up to receive the first edition of the Night of the Dragon festival, which took inspiration from medieval times for its realization.
A weekend in which families were able to enjoy handicrafts, storytelling, products from the region, artistic presentations throughout the day, family workshops, concerts and a giant dragon puppet contest.
The event featured the participation of the artist Miguel Ángel Resendiz who made a live painting of the Peña de Bernal made with charcoal and fire. To close Friday, guests were able to enjoy a medieval dinner set by 13 artists on stage who made the night magical through knight combats, medieval dances with luminous fairies, stilt walkers, ogres and a concert of Celtic music by torchlight.
The Night of the Dragon also served as a showcase for some of the magical towns of Querétaro to publicize a little of what they offer, so in the market families found stands from Jalpan de Serra, Amealco, Tequisquiapan and Cadereyta.
A festival that had almost 800 attendees and that is expected to become a characteristic annual event of the Medieval Hostel to add and nourish with original options to the tourist and cultural offer that the Magical Town of Bernal has to offer to locals and visitors.
Undoubtedly, The Night of the Dragon was a weekend with the aim of awakening the inner child and enjoying yourself with your children, getting excited about costumes, adventure and legends of ancient times with mythical beings, giving you an escape from routine and monotony and reminding you that magic exists.
