At the end of Holy Week and according to the first reports of the Hotel and Tourism Associations in the state, hotel occupancy in the state of Querétaro exceeded 50% and it is estimated that tourism activity generated just over 900 million pesos between April 14 and 20.

According to these reports, the capital city, the main tourist destinations in the interior of the state, such as the 7 Magical Towns and the wine region, registered a hotel occupancy of just over 65% during the nights of Good Friday and Holy Saturday.

The most important religious activities took place in the Historic Center of the city of Querétaro, such as the Procession of Silence and the representations of the Stations of the Cross in venues such as La Cañada and Tolimán; in addition to the festivities in honor of the Virgen de los Dolores, in the municipality of Colón; which registered the visit of thousands of passers-by who were able to participate in these traditions with safety and tranquility for families.

According to the Ministry of Tourism of the Federal Government, Querétaro is one of the preferred destinations in this vacation period nationwide, along with destinations such as Nuevo Nayarit, Puerto Vallarta, Bahías de Huatulco, Monterrey, Mérida, among others, which are estimated to receive more visitors during this period.
