State authorities headed by the state secretary of tourism, Adriana Vega Vázquez Mellado, inaugurated this Wednesday the direct flight Querétaro-Dallas, Texas, operated by the airline Viva, which with two weekly frequencies from the Querétaro International Airport (AIQ).

The Secretary of Tourism, Adriana Vega, highlighted in a message the importance of this connection to continue positioning Querétaro as a tourist and business destination in the international market.

"This flight represents a great opportunity to strengthen our ties with the Querétaro community in Texas and to attract more visitors to our state. Together, we take Querétaro to the next level as a tourist destination," he said.

The Querétaro International Airport maintains a growth in its connectivity, facilitating the arrival of tourists and businessmen. The new route joins the state's efforts to strengthen its presence in strategic markets and consolidate tourism and economic activity in the region.

The Querétaro-Dallas flight will have two weekly frequencies from the AIQ, on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 4:20 p.m.; with Airbus 321 aircraft with a capacity of 180 seats.

Viva has established itself as the airline that transports the most passengers in the AIQ, with 32.5% of the total; and an average occupancy of 83%.

Representatives of Viva were present at the event, led by the Director of Corporate Communication, Walfred Castro Novelo; the director of the Querétaro International Airport, Jorge Gutiérrez de Velazco, among other personalities who reaffirmed the commitment to continue working on the development of new routes that promote the growth of the state's tourism and economic sector.
