The head of the Ministry of Tourism of the state of Querétaro, Adriana Vega Vázquez Mellado, led the swearing-in ceremony of the Productive Chain of the Magical Town of Pinal de Amoles, an organization that endorsed its commitment to strengthen the competitiveness and quality of the destination.
During the ceremony, he emphasized that tourism is the economic activity that generates the most jobs for women and young people; therefore, consolidating the Productive Chain in the field of tourism, strengthens the circular economy of the mountain region, slows down the phenomenon of migration; while protecting and promoting traditions, and adopting strategies of sustainability and care for the environment.
"Tourism requires vision, teamwork and joint efforts. Today, Pinal de Amoles shows us that when clear objectives are shared, the products, services and experience offered to each visitor are strengthened," he said.
The Pinal de Amoles Production Chain will allow the coordination of strategies between hoteliers, restaurateurs, guides, artisans and other actors in the sector, in order to consolidate more comprehensive and attractive tourism products.
Vega Vázquez Mellado added that the Productive Chain of this Magical Town, will have a fundamental role in the formation of the project "Camino Initimotico de Santiago", which will have its kilometer "Zero", and from where more than 120 kilometers can be traveled in the various mountain municipalities, in a religious route.
This effort seeks not only to promote the arrival of more visitors, but also to generate social and economic benefits for families that depend on tourism in the Sierra Gorda of Querétaro. In addition to reiterating its commitment to accompany and support initiatives, which strengthen the identity of the Magical Towns and position Querétaro as a national benchmark in cultural and nature tourism.
