The 2025 International Festival of Art, Cheese and Wine of Tequisquiapan was inaugurated, with a ceremony led by the Secretary of Tourism of the state, Adriana Vega Vázquez Mellado, on behalf of the governor, Mauricio Kuri González, together with the mayor of the demarcation, Héctor Magaña Rentería.
During her message, the head of the Ministry of Tourism highlighted the economic, tourist and cultural impact of the festival, which, she said, consolidates Tequisquiapan as an ideal destination for cultural and food and wine tourism.
"The arrival of more than 60 thousand visitors is expected, an economic spill of more than 180 million pesos, and the participation of 20 Mexican wineries, 10 cheese factories, local producers and a gastronomic offer for all tastes," he said.
This festival, which will take place until June 8, will feature the participation of more than 20 Mexican wineries, 10 artisanal cheese factories, and a varied gastronomic offer. In addition, it includes concerts, artistic presentations, an art route and traditional events such as the waiters' race and the night c h a r r e a d .
The artistic program includes the presentation of the Folkloric Ballet of Amalia Hernández, and concerts by Motel, Kinky, Fernando Delgadillo, Grupo Primavera, Cuisillos, among others.
The venues for the event include La Pila Park, the Art Garden, the Main Plaza and Juárez Street, all with free access to the public.
The International Festival of Art, Cheese and Wine has established itself as one of the most important tourist events in the state of Querétaro, attracting visitors from all over the country and strengthening the cultural identity and local economy.
