At 7:00 pm municipal and state authorities headed by Governor Mauricio Kuri González, the municipal president of Querétaro Luis Bernardo Nava Guerrero, Jaime García Alcocer, president of the Board of Trustees of the Fiestas de Querétaro and Claudia I, Queen of Christmas 2022, the ceremony was held between music by Tato and Ely Dorantes, carols by the Capella Queretana ensemble and in front of hundreds of tourists and locals who gathered in the Corregidora Garden to live such an emotional moment.
This Christmas, the monument to the Corregidora will also be surrounded by the Monumental Nativity Scene of Querétaro, which changed location this year in order to remember its beginnings and celebrate the 45th anniversary of the naming of the Tree of Friendship.
