Magical Town with a very special energy
Bernal, in the municipality of Ezequiel Montes, was once again the epicenter of the celebration for the arrival of the Spring Equinox. After two years of not being held, these celebrations marked by the rituals of purification and the beginning of a new season energetically speaking, returned.
This type of celebration had not been held since March 2019 due to health security issues.
Festivals and rituals in the village
Bernal's main garden was the focal point for these rituals; the view of the third largest monolith in the world is privileged from that area, so visitors were able to appreciate the Peña in all its splendor.
After the spring parade led by children and older adults of the municipality, the authorities officially began the celebrations of the Bernal Equinox 2022.
Music, dance and families
The festivities were framed by the presence of the family and large groups of tourists. Sanitary measures were respected and attendees were able to enjoy all the gastronomic and cultural offer that Bernal offered this weekend.
Typical groups of regional dances gave color to the main streets of the center of Bernal. Visitors came to receive an energetic bath and thus receive this new stage of the year in the best way.
The festivities continued with artistic presentations, the singer Verónica Zurita appeared in the main garden to delight those present with popular Mexican songs. The same as the trio 'Pasión Huasteca', who were in charge of closing the cultural program.
The dances and rituals marked the return of this symbolic festival that reminds us of the cycles of life, as well as the need we have to cleanse our energy to make way for new dawns.
Bernal vibrated with the return of tourists to its streets and restaurants, the Peña was once again a source of energy for all those who came to it, and who are already thinking about the Equinox 2023.
