During the years of confinement and isolation that the pandemic forced thousands of people to experience, there was one who decided that time could be used to teach about her passion. Eduardo Ruiz, a lover of painting, began teaching classes digitally.
The workshop was so successful, that an idea arose to take the project one step further. With all his hopes pinned on it, Eduardo became the founding artist of the gallery we know today as "Galería Arte y Café".
Located in the historic center of Amealco, this gallery adorns its interior with exhibitions of different artists, and from beginners to more recognized creators, everyone has the opportunity to show their works to the public, from drawings, handicrafts, paintings and photographs, all pieces are available for sale.
After a few years of operation, they opened a space dedicated to coffee, merging great flavors with the inspiration of art. His idea has allowed visitors to enjoy a wide variety of food and drinks, reconnect with his most artistic side and take it to a new level.
Currently the gallery offers occasional workshops on topics such as drawing, free and creative writing, even painting with elements such as coffee or wine. They have even used its facilities for the presentation of books and the projection of documentaries.
If you like to visit the gallery, they are open from Wednesday to Saturday from 8 in the morning until 10 at night, and if you are visiting Sunday with your family you can find them from 11 to 6 in the afternoon.
