The magic of two Magical Towns

Let yourself be surprised by the activities that these two Magical Towns have for you. You will get to know everything that Cadereyta has to offer, with its thousands of activities, its dam, its gastronomy and more. As well as San Joaquín, with its camping spaces and natural tourist attractions.

The tour begins at the Main Garden of Cadereyta, where you can discover each of its corners, its food stalls, the Temple of Solitude and more, so we recommend you there to go for breakfast some gorditas, quesadillas and more.

Also in the garden, you can hire a horseback riding tour of the area with KD Horse Tours, where you will discover a little more of the attractions and history of this beautiful Magical Town. For lunchtime we recommend Tlakuali, a traditional neighborhood cuisine with a unique and homemade seasoning.

Then, the next place to visit is the Quinta Schmoll Greenhouse, here you can learn about the hundreds of varieties of cacti and succulents that they have and your access includes a plant for you to take as a souvenir. A few meters ahead, you will also find the Regional Botanical Garden, where they offer tours of the place and where you will learn a little about its ecological contribution.

To end the day, what better than to venture into Semidesierto Park, where there are activities such as archery, ATVs, horseback riding and more. In addition, they have a restaurant and grills, ideal for eating on site.

To spend the night, we recommend staying at Hacienda Tovares, a spectacular hacienda with amenities that will make you feel at home, due to its relaxing and familiar atmosphere.

A day in Tzibanzá

The second day begins with a delicious breakfast in the traditional community of Boyé, where its barbecue has become famous for being one of the most delicious in Querétaro, it even has its own festival that is held after the national holidays. After recharging your batteries in this town, you will transfer to Tzibanzá, where one of the most important tourist attractions is located: La Isla and the Zimapán dam.

Here we recommend you stay and there are many options to do so, such as: Punta Xodhé, El Anzuelo, Campamento La Isla Tzibanzá or Casa Narnia. After relaxing a little in your room, it is time again to venture to what the dam offers you, because at the Pier you will find activities such as boat rides, kayaking and even fishing.

A few hours after enjoying a little of the dam, it was time for lunch/dinner and without a doubt, we recommend the El Anzuelo Restaurant, as it has incredible views of the surrounding area and quality service.

The springs of Cade

From very early on, on our third day, the adventure to a new tourist attraction begins. The springs of El Aguacate and Xidhí took their peak during the pandemic. Here you can swim between the hot springs "pools" and relax like never before. In addition, they have a special palapas area where you will find food such as local mojarras, Mexican snacks and more. Get ready to live this experience all day long.

From Vizarrón to San Joaquín

The next day, you will move to the community of Vizarrón, which the starting point for our day here will be at the Vizarrón Garden, where you will find stalls and places of traditional Mexican food, such as gorditas, quesadillas, tacos, etc., and you will be able to choose what to have for breakfast among all these. Afterwards, you will do a super cool activity with our friends from VizaRoad, where you will spend a spectacular morning touring this community in their razers and discovering a little of the roads of the Semidesert.

At the end of this activity, you will continue your adventure to San Joaquín, since on this fourth day of tour, you will finally enter the Sierra Gorda region. And we know that you will arrive hungry, that is why we recommend you go to El Otatal restaurant, a traditional place in this Magical Town, where you will find traditional Mexican cuisine.

Apples and huts

At the end of the meal at the Otatal, don't forget to visit the Finca Doña Lore, where you will taste some of their renowned apple liqueur, as well as the history that led to this place where it is today. Among its activities, you can pick apples in season and taste their exquisite labels, perfect to accompany your afternoon on the farm.

In the evening you will visit the Campo Alegre National Park, a forested area ideal to enjoy with the family, here you will find large green fields to walk, run and spend time resting. If you wish, an on-site lodging option is the Campo Alegre Cabins or we recommend others near the area such as El Santuario de los Pájaros and Cabaña Las Ovejas.

On the fifth day

Your last day of the trip has arrived and the best way to start this day is to have breakfast at El Burrito restaurant, where you will taste the seasoning of this place and its traditional burritos in green sauce (so we hope you are hungry enough to eat one, since they are enooooormes).

After having recharged your energy, you will visit one of the most impressive natural tourist places in the region, the Los Herreras Grotto, where you can observe how millions of years ago these rock formations were created. We recommend you wear slightly thick clothing, since as you go down to the grotto, the temperature drops.

From the bull to the viewpoint

Another option that we recommend you to visit is Cedral Park, do you dare to venture into nature? Here you will have endless activities to do, such as temazcal ceremonies, zip lining, gotcha, hiking and even a tour of a grotto that they have within the area. Without a doubt, an excellent park to visit with the family.

At lunchtime, once in town, we recommend El Torito, where you can eat delicious seafood and food prepared in the most traditional San Joaquín style. You'll love it!

Finally, before ending this adventure, don't forget to visit and take a photo at the Mirador de San Joaquín, where you can observe the entire town from above, accompanied by a spectacular view of the green fields of the Sierra Gorda.
