There is nothing that better portrays the culture of a country than its food, its music, and its people. That is what the Festival of Foreign Communities was about: to exalt the pride that each person feels for their land, to share the joy of living in Querétaro and to make known a little of its roots to the more than 60 thousand visitors who registered in the 2022 edition of this great event.
Four continents gathered in one place: The Querétaro Congress Center (QCC)
This Festival is characterized by providing a multicultural space in which different countries that come from Europe, Africa, America and Asia show through their crafts, gastronomy, dances and typical music the importance of artistic expression and the pride that is felt to belong to a place. So for four days the Querétaro Congress Center received 49 countries for the most international party of the year.
Six months of organization, almost a thousand volunteers, two stages and 66 exhibitors made it possible for the people of Querétaro to experience a tour of Asia marveling at Chinese food, typical Korean costumes or acquiring a product from the manga world. Families were also able to walk down the aisle of America to taste some arepas, a bandeja paisa or buy handicrafts with all the color that characterizes this continent.
Africa also made attendees fall in love with its music, its typical dances and the warmth of its people while Europe delighted the palates of children and adults with its Italian ice creams, German sausages, Spanish omelette and Belgian craft beers.
Music and dance, the protagonists of this event
As in any party, music, laughter and dancing could not be missing, so this edition of the Festival of Foreign Communities did not cease to surprise attendees with the more than 50 shows that took place on the two stages installed in the venue.
The quality and authenticity of the proposals presented stood out in this edition, which after two years of being on hiatus, returned to teach visitors that all people share the joy of interacting and the search for fraternity.
