With a new beginning in January, we venture to fulfill our resolutions and undertake new things. February dresses up in gala and religion, with the celebrations dedicated to commemorate the Sanctuary of the Virgin of El Pueblito in the municipality of Corregidora, an event that throughout the week brings together local people and visitors to celebrate the inauguration of the Sanctuary with regional gastronomy, dances and masses.

March gives us a moment for introspection and change, which we can live on the Spring Equinox, there is nothing like going to Bernal to fill ourselves with energy in community, enjoying traditional dances, local food and events that involve visitors with the culture of the place. In addition to Bernal, in Corregidora in the Pirámide del Cerrito there are also events, activities and musical shows, suitable for the whole family.

San Joaquín is a small magical town nestled in the Sierra Queretana, where forests and clouds synergize to hide it. Every year in April, for more than 50 years, the National Huapango Contest has been held, an event that brings together dancers from all over Mexico to express themselves through the son huasteco. A full weekend where couples dance until the early hours of the morning for the pleasure and satisfaction of becoming the best. If we talk about art, this month begins the Querétaro Experimental, a project that takes the city of Querétaro to make artistic expression a public, accessible and contemporary show; from April to August, different parts of the Historic Center will be intervened by the talent of artists, dancers and actors on a stage that will come to life day by day.

Querétaro has among its most representative events the famous National Cheese and Wine Fair, which takes place in Tequisquiapan in the month of May. There are three weekends that invite you to taste the labels of the region, as well as cheeses and meats produced in the state, of course all accompanied by concerts, shows and artistic exhibitions, a family event that exalts the wine culture that we have in the state. And since the fun doesn't end, the state capital delights us with a wide variety of international artists; at Pulso GNP, the best of modern music comes together.

Just after the Cheese and Wine Fair, the harvest season arrives that begins in June and ends in August, and this opens with the harvest of the San Juanito vineyard, between wine, delicious food, tours of its cellar and equestrian shows, this event invites you to share in a pleasant and fun atmosphere, A taste of the best season in the state.

July is the month that brings together the bulk of the grape harvests, it is a month that is perfectly used for its warm climate, therefore, it is ideal to enjoy outdoors the events around wine that the vineyards of the semi-desert of Querétaro will have. Tierra de Alonso, Donato, Los Rosales, Viña TX and La Redonda, to name a few, are the ones who will star in these summer festivities through tastings, bunch cuttings, live music, tours and much more!

August arrives, and in the city of Querétaro DOQUMENTA is held, a documentary film exhibition space that offers the community the opportunity to learn about feature films and documentary short films from all over the world, making it a must when it comes to discovering new artists and new productions that make us look at the world with different eyes.

Beyond celebrating the national holidays, in September, Querétaro is home to a unique cultural and literary event of its kind, we are talking about Hay Festival, a space that encourages meeting and dialogue between the community and people who work in writing, science and the arts. If you have time to spare in the state, do not hesitate to stop by the Barbecue and Pulque Fair in Cadereyta, a gastronomic event that summons thousands of people to try the delicacies that Boyé makes.

October is the perfect preamble to celebrate the Day of the Dead festivity in a big way, with parades, monumental altars, contests and family activities, this event opens with everything in the state of Querétaro, in the municipalities, restaurants and vineyards of the state. We invite you to pull out your best costume and join the party.

Two cultural events of great relevance take place in Querétaro this November, the Doll Festival in Amealco, which exalts the indigenous culture and worldview of the municipality, and the International Livestock Fair of Querétaro, a space that gives their place to artisans, merchants, ranchers and artists to exhibit the best of them; a space also to enjoy with family and friends.

December finally arrives, to close a year full of activities with a flourish, and what better than to celebrate Christmas by attending the wide variety of events that take place in the Historic Center, from going to enjoy the Christmas Arcade, with thousands of lights and taking a photo with the decorated trees, to enjoying the carts of the posadas, the Christmas parades, and other parades with emblematic characters of the time. There is no way to get bored on these December dates.
