A hacienda where history and tradition are breathed
The Ex-Hacienda El Lobo, which dates from the late seventeenth century and was restored under the supervision of the INAH, faithfully recreates the atmosphere of ancient Mexico, of New Spanish Mexico.
Its history dates back to 1550, when the great development of the haciendas in Querétaro began when it was located on the Ruta de la Plata; however, it was not until 1713 that Hacienda El Lobo was founded. It was inhabited by General Tomás Mejía, governor of the state in 1858 and who was shot along with Maximilian of Habsburg in the Cerro de las Campanas.
It is an old hacienda, but completely restored, so its spaces are warm and comfortable
In 2013, a group of businessmen decided to start the recovery of the hacienda, with remodeling and maintenance, which were supervised by the National Institute of Anthropology and History. Now the hacienda functions as a hotel, restaurant and space for high-end social events such as weddings.
The hotel is made up of 40 fully equipped and spacious rooms that combine comfort and modern style. In them you can enjoy different amenities: king size beds, bathtubs, safe, cable TV and full bathroom.
On the other hand, for social celebrations, the development has three large spaces for events of all kinds: an auditorium, chapel, original New Spanish garden, villas and large green areas.
The events are customized according to what is desired and the equipment is completely dedicated to the day of the event in order to keep everything running smoothly.
Its mezcal bar is made up of more than 30 labels
Likewise, the restaurant "Los Olivos" – located inside the hacienda – is an unexpected refuge to enjoy the restored iconic monuments. It has a selection of national and international drinks, cocktails, wines from Querétaro and around the world, as well as a mezcal bar with more than 30 different mezcal labels.
Visit Ex-Hacienda El Lobo – located just 50 minutes from the capital of Querétaro, in the municipality of El Marqués – and find the ideal setting for your wedding, your business events or for a lodging away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
