The 2022 edition of DOQUMENTA International Festival of Non-Fiction Film and Narratives arrived in Querétaro and will be offering you more than 100 activities, including screenings, talks, virtual reality, exhibitions, pitch contest and networking events with the intention of celebrating its ten years of history in ten days.

A festival that was born in this city and that since its inception has had its heart in the historic center, today it returns to take over the Cineteca Rosalío Solano, the Libertad Gallery, Plaza de Armas, the Museum of the City, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Esperanza Cabrera Theater, the Old Railway Station, the Guerrero Garden, the Museum of Sacred Art, the Regional Museum of Querétaro, the Querétaro Center of the Image and the Libertad Walkway to celebrate the ten years that, In their words, they have transited, evolved and experienced reality alongside non-fiction narrative expressions.
This year DOQUMENTA expands its offer to other disciplines, so in addition to finding documentary cinema of the highest quality, you can also enjoy literature, sound art, visual arts, cinema and journalism, all with the aim of approaching stories that portray reality.
This festival is based on the Mexican documentary in its programming, this is its essence and the behavioral thread to offer the audience, which has grown with them, conversations about transcendental issues in our country.
Thus, for ten days you can find performances that highlight the LGBTIQ+ perspective, dialogues on journalism, feminist perspectives, perspectives on the realities of living in our country, the challenges involved in our origins and narratives on gender and power struggles.
In addition, for this edition, DOQUMENTA has Peru as a guest country to make its showcase a window to Peruvian documentary filmmaking and share with the audience the interest in the non-fiction narratives that are created in the two countries.
