In the municipality of Ezequiel Montes is Viñedos Azteca, whose identity is strongly linked to the Mexican style, thanks to the work and dedication of Jorge Ferreira and Miguel Gimenez Montesinos, who more than 20 years ago began this project dedicated to wine.
This place creates a captivating colonial atmosphere, with an architecture from the time of the Mexican Revolution, an old hacienda with colors and shapes characteristic of the time. It receives its name from the Mexican breed of Azteca horses, a breed which is bred in the facilities.
Surrounded by lakes and gardens, this place has the restaurant "El Itacate", a place that perfectly combines Italian and Mexican food. Here you can find options such as paninis, salads, special cheeses, cold meats and pizzas of great variety.
They currently have seven wine labels, among which names such as "Cahuayo" and "Pretexto" stand out, the latter being a premium wine made from six red varieties; it is also the first place to produce vermouth in Mexico, a fortified wine flavored with herbs
During its tours you can taste up to five varieties from its catalog, get to know the vine plantations, visit the enobar, the vermouth bar or the winery, and include pairing experiences if you wish. Among its activities they have options for everyone, from horseback riding, romantic picnics by the lake, to bottle painting for children.
