Arroyo Seco is a destination that will surprise you with its wonderful views. Here you will enjoy every second of its history, its rivers, its millenary trees, its culture, handicrafts, traditional inns and the warmth of its people. This site has natural settings of great beauty to visit with the whole family and with a Franciscan past that will leave you wanting more.

A getaway to this area of the Sierra Gorda is well worth the journey (230 km from the capital of Querétaro) and although we recommend a longer stay so that you can get to know everything that this beautiful community has to offer, if you only have one day here we leave you an itinerary that will make you enjoy every second of your visit to this municipality.

Have breakfast at La Escondida

About 40 minutes before arriving in Concá you will find this restaurant that has one of the best breakfasts in the region on its menu. We recommend a French bread with a good cup of coffee to start your tour of Arroyo Seco.

Get to know the smallest Mission in the Sierra

Concá has this Mission dedicated to San Miguel Arcángel and according to an inscription found on its interior walls, its construction was completed in 1754.

But just because it is the smallest of the five missions in the Sierra Gorda it is still imposing; You will be surprised by the amount of details that its architecture gives you to tell you about the indigenous communities that participated in its construction and the Pame artisans who carved each of the plant motifs that you can find on its façade.
