Government Palace of Amealco.

Government Palace

Building built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. During the boom in logging, there are photographic images that show that at this time the building was decorated with French-influenced motifs on the sides.

The property is an important part of the material heritage of the Municipal Head. For many years it has housed the Municipal Government, a faithful witness to the passing of several generations of municipal presidents, who have left their mark on each of their administrations.

It consists in documents of the Historical Archive of the Municipality, which was used as a stingray store, of the Hacienda de San Nicolás de la Torre and was owned by Mr. Buenaventura Ruiz, political prefect, who donated the property to establish the offices of the Municipal Presidency.
