Geografical Center of Tequisquiapan

This enormous sculpture, called the Geographical Center of the Mexican Republic, was ordered to be placed in 1916 by Venustiano Carranza. It consists of three rectangular columns that rise to the sky and meet at the top. Once closer you can see the base, which is made of a convex stone surface on which the Mexican territory is located, from above, at the junction of the columns, a top-shaped pendulum falls that marks the center of the country.
