The Regional Botanical Garden of Cadereyta “Lic. Manuel González de Cosio “was founded on April 25, 1991. It belongs to the Secretary of Education of the Government of the State of Querétaro. It is a living museum, open 365 days a year offering various guided tours and assisted visits lasting between 30 minutes and an hour. It houses 5 botanical collections, the semi-desert, and the cacti of Querétaro, vegetation of the Querétaro valley, the Mammillaria genus in Mexico and agaves of Querétaro. It is a place recognized by the number of threatened species that it reproduces artificially. It is one of the 20 most important botanical gardens in Mexico.
