Queretaro Art Museum

The Art Museum of Queretaro (MAQRO), located in the Historic Center of Queretaro, was inaugurated on September 22, 1988 in the old Cloister of San Agustin. Its architecture dates from the XVIII century with a novo-Hispanic baroque style that makes it one of the most beautiful in Latin America and declared as Cultural Patrimony of the nation by the former president Miguel de la Madrid.

Currently, after some restorations, it has permanent and temporary exhibition halls that house works from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century. Every year it receives hundreds of exhibitions of Mexican and foreign artists, besides giving life to artistic events, concerts, conferences, book presentations and plays. The MAQRO also seeks to promote educational programs with a variety of workshops for all audiences that you cannot miss.
