


The former hacienda of La Lira, in the municipality of Pedro Escobedo, is one of the best preserved and of great beauty; Its white walls combined with quarry, wide and heavy construction that frames the access road and welcomes the community of the same name stand out.
It is believed that this site was remotely occupied by Otomís. It is also thought that it owes its name to Ana de Lira, a name that is mentioned in a contract of sale dating from 1648.
