Last Saturday, June 11, the eighth edition of the Xtrail Bernal-Viñedos caerrera was successfully held, a sporting event under the framework of the Querétaro Art, Cheese and Wine Route.
More than 1,500 runners from different parts of Mexico gathered in Freixenet to enjoy a sports and tourist Saturday in this special wine region.
International event
In addition to the variety of runners at the national level, the race had the presence of athletes from other countries: France, Belgium, Brazil, England, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Spain, Paraguay, among other countries, These runners raised the name of the nations they represented.
Wine tourism boost
This race was possible thanks to the participation and promotion of wine companies such as Freixenet Mexico, Bodegas de Cote, Viñedos Azteca, Casa Mateo Hotel Boutique, as well as the support of the Tourism Department of Ezequiel Montes and Xtrail Mexico.
The runners participated in the categories of 5, 10, 15 and 21 kilometers. In all cases, the environment in which they participated were vine fields, vineyards, cellars and the streets of the Magical Towns of Querétaro.
Awards
To conclude this sporting and tourist event, the award ceremony was held in the main garden of Bernal. This ceremony was accompanied by a concert and a fireworks show, which were the icing on the cake of a Saturday in which thousands of families enjoyed.
