Your week in the Sierra Gorda
The time has come to get to know everything that the Sierra Gorda hides, and what better if you are a lover of adventure and nature. The tour begins in the municipality of Peñamiller, exactly in the Canyon of Paradise, a place where you will walk among its trails and be impressed by its imposing views.
We recommend you bring a change of clothes, comfortable tennis shoes, sunscreen, hat and the best attitude to tour the canyon. Along the way, you will find pools of water where you can enjoy a dip, see its black marble walls, rest areas and endless activities.
In the afternoon, an option for lunch is the Palapa de Doña Lupe in the community of Río Blanco, where you can taste a delicious mojarra prepared on the spot. After. we invite you to visit the kiosk and the parish of Peñamiller.
An option to rest in the area, without a doubt, is the Balneario el Oasis, where its great service and quality to spend the night awaits you.
The second day begins with a transfer to the municipality of Pinal de Amoles, where the first stop will be a very famous spot in the area, the Puerta del Cielo. Here you can take a picture in the middle of the road (carefully, obviously) and you will take a splendid souvenir of your visit here.
Then you can't miss the Pinal Community Museum, where you can learn a little about the history that has transcended in this municipality. As well as visit the Parish of San José Pinal de Amoles. For lunchtime, we recommend the Amolli restaurant, a classic of the region.
To spend the nights here, you can opt for one of these three cabins: Cima del Cielo, Cabañas Puerta del Cielo or La Cobacha.
The Dawn
The third day will have a characteristic activity of Pinal, which has undoubtedly become a must for all those who visit this municipality. Here the option is to get up at dawn to start the ascent to one of the most important tourist sites: the Cuatro Palos Viewpoint. Here you will enjoy the sunrise and observe how the cloud bank is positioned over the Media Luna hill.
Once in the village, after the great adventure at the viewpoint, visit Doña Jovita's wood-fired bread, a tradition of many years and which is a traditional place in the area, we assure you that you will love it. For lunchtime, don't forget to try the gastronomy of Antojitos El Jardín, ideal to recharge your batteries for the next activity.
The second activity of the day is to visit the wonder of Puente De Dios, where the road is to travel the Escanela River and the Angostura Canyon, where you can see how the turquoise water accompanies you on your journey. The show offered by Puente De Dios is unique and you will be left wanting to visit the place again.
To close the day, you can't miss a delicious dinner made at home, at Fonda la Cabaña.
Another of the wonders of Pinal is the Chuveje Waterfall, with a height of 30 meters and considered one of the most beautiful in the State. Here you can enjoy a pleasant morning between its nature and crystal clear water. For breakfast, a place with homemade seasoning is the Fonda el Milagro.
After Pinal, continue your tour to the Magical Town of Jalpan, where your first place to visit will be the Jalpan Mission and then go to the Historical Museum of the Sierra Gorda a little about the history that the Biosphere Reserve has had over time. Finally, after a long day, we recommend the Vicky restaurant.

Round trip
The fifth day begins with breakfast at the Tequila Restaurant, which has become a must for all visitors to this beautiful municipality of Jalpan. Afterwards, don't forget to stop by the Tancama Archaeological Zone and discover the history of the civilization that inhabited that place thousands of years ago.
In the afternoon, make a quick visit to the municipality of Landa de Matamoros and don't forget to visit the impressive Mission of Santa María de Landa and stop by to eat a delicious pizza at El Molino Pizza, and then return to Jalpan to rest.
After a long week in Jalpan, the last day arrives. To start the day, have breakfast in Sierra Bonita, their dishes are made with pure local seasoning. Afterward, spend a few hours visiting the Jalpan Dam and enjoy activities such as water biking, kayaking, and more.
In addition, in the area we recommend you visit the cave of Puente De Dios de Río Adentro with a tour guide, where you will be fascinated by this natural wonder. In the afternoon, very close to its head, you will find Lila's Café and it is an excellent option for lunch.
