From September 1 to 4, the seventh edition of the Hay Festival Querétaro will be held, four days of intense cultural activity throughout the territory of the Creative Metropolis, in which 145 participants in 94 different events will discuss literature, science and journalism in a plethoric and unbeatable atmosphere, which is already an expert in living the honeys of being the cultural center of Latin America for a long weekend.
And it is that the Hay Festival brings great exponents of universal culture, who enjoy the great attractions that Querétaro offers to its visitors, especially its enigmatic Historic Center, a jewel to discover for those who walk its streets between events.
This year, the billboard is headed by Wole Soyinka, Nobel Prize in Literature 1986, and Tawakkol Karman, Nobel Peace Prize 2011.
In literature, one of the strengths of the Hay Festival, there will be characters of the stature of Bibiana Candia, Jesús Carrasco, Horacio Castellanos Moya, Gonzalo Celorio, Jean-Baptiste del Amo, Guillermo Fadanelli, Jeremías Gamboa, Vivian Gornick, Mónica Lavín, Gisela Leal, Paola Llamas Dinero, Clyo Mendoza, Emiliano Monge, Rosa Montero, Paul Muldoon, Alma Delia Murillo, Wilfried N'Sondé, Pedro Ángel Palou, Felipe Restrepo Pombo, Dolores Reyes, Leïla Slimani, Viet Thanh Nguyen, Alberto Villarreal, reading tribute to Almudena Grandes and many more.
Journalism is also one of the classic themes of the Hay Festival, and this year Lydiette Carrión, Alma Guillermoprieto, Denise Maerker, Emiliano Ruiz Parra, Yuriria Sierra, Jacobo García, Karla Iberia Sánchez, Joseph Zárate, Olivia Zerón, among others, will be in Querétaro.
