This religious space was built in the XVII century by the Jesuits; in its interior we can find the image of the Apostle Santiago, who is the Patron Saint of the city of Queretaro.
The church houses one of the oldest archives in the state, with documents dating back to 1580.
A single tower on the left side, as well as a patriarchal cross in the atrium are the main components of the facade of this enclosure, which has a more sober style compared to other temples in the city.
