Vinícola Tequisquiapan was founded by Don Emilio Ochoa, from the Spanish community of Navarra. Don Emilio Ochoa inherited this ancient tradition of more than 100 years to his sons Raúl and Marco Antonio Ochoa, who continued this legacy since the 1970s. The wine became popular among family, friends and small businesses, with word of mouth being its best promotion.
In 2010 the family settled in Tequisquiapan, Querétaro, with the firm idea of formally establishing Vinícola Tequisquiapan Boutique.
