It houses ceibas more than 100 years old, important for being the scene of countless historical events during the wars of independence, revolution and reform laws, served for the execution of prisoners.
Between 1950 and 1979 it housed the municipal market, until the construction of the municipal market in 1980.
It currently has benches ornamented with small pieces of dishes and chinaware.
