The State of Queretaro is found in the Center of the Country, two and a half hours approximately from Mexico City. Its nearness with the Capital, its nice weather, the presence of two World Heritages in its territory, the combination of the rural and important industrial centers have made it one of the favorite places to relax, travel and do business.
If Queretaro is one of the smallest states in the Country, the number of attractions that it involves is inversely proportional to its size.
Queretaro combines the amazing History with the magnificence of the nature, the pleasure of good life with extreme sport´s adrenaline. It counts with two declared World Heritages zones: the Viceregal buildings of the Historic Downtown of Santiago de Queretaro and the five Franciscan missions of the Sierra Gorda, that were the universal apotheosis of the universal baroque art. The Sierra Gorda has been as well declared a World Biosphere Reserve due to the biodiversity that involves the different ecosystems that coexist in such a reduced area. Finally, the calm that the painteresque towns of Tequisquiapan and Bernal offer, surrounded by bathing places, vineyards, cheese shops and haciendas.
Next to the calm and nice atmosphere of the Mexican province, we find one of the most important states in the economic life of the country. Santiago de Queretaro and San Juan del Río cities, concentrate important industrial centers where many enterprises´ plants of Mexico and the world are located. The State is one of the favorite to celebrate congresses and business reunions. Queretaro´s attractions are a plus for the success of these conventions. Thereafter, the two main cities of the State count with hotels and golf camps of high category, some of them located in Old Viceregal haciendas that make business negotiations something of pleasure.
